The Samsung C3510 Is An Affordable Handset

Released in December 2009, the Samsung C3510 is an appealing touch screen handset which has an array of useful features. Its rounded shape and impressive touch screen make it an aesthetically pleasing handset.

The handset measures 103.9x55x12.9mm and weighs in at 92.2g, making it very lightweight and slim. This makes it a comfortable phone to use. The 2.8 inch TFTtouch screen is capable of displaying up to 256,000 colours at 240x320 pixels providing bright clear images on the screen.

Users are alerted to incoming calls and messages by vibration and ringing and have the option to utilize MP3 music files as ringtones. A speakerphone is built in allowing hands free communication. A 3.5mm audio jack is also present allowing the use of hands free kits and headphones for listening to music.

The phonebook in the C3510 can store up to an impressive 1000 contacts. The photo call feature also lets users take a photograph of their contacts and assign them to their contact info so the picture is displayed when they are in contact on the phone. 30MB of internal memory is provided, however this can be increased to 8GB by using the microSD slot and installing a memory card with a higher capacity. This allows plenty of storage for media files and other data.

The C3510 uses a range of connectivity options. Connections to networks are via GPRS and EDGE, both of which are class 10. Bluetooth version 2.0 is installed as standard allowing direct transfer of files and data between other Bluetooth compatible handsets.

The C5310 is equipped with a camera boasting 1.3MP which operates at a pixel resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. As an alternative to still photographs, it can also record video in QCIF quality at a rate of 15 frames per second.

The handset's media player supports a range of file formats. Music can be played in MP3, WMA and eAAC+. Video can be played in MP4, H.263 and H.264. Media files can easily be transferred to and from a computer by using the micro USB (v2.0) port. Further entertainment options include an inbuilt stereo FM radio with RDS, and a range of games with the option to download further ones if required. Social networking fans will not be disappointed, as the C3510 has social networking integration with live updates. A list of extra features includes a useful organizer, voice memo recorder and T9 predictive text input.

The Samsung C3510 provides a great entry-level touch screen experience, and given its range of features is a surprisingly affordable handset.
